This is an interview I did as part of the SLATES Solidairty Rock tour. This is SLATES talking about the realities of Rock N Roll in Cuba from their own experience.

For the past 2 years, I have been working with musicians in Canada, the US and Cuba, to equip Cuban rock bands so they can take their practice to the next level. It has resulted in numerous benefit shows in Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg and Los Angeles. In January 2010, we brought Edmonton rockers SLATES on a 2 week Solidarity Rock tour of Cuba. Our friends have taken the help we’ve been able to give and turned it into an explosive punk rock scene in an unlikely place. This is video from SLATES in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba.
